Demonstrating that Canisius is committed to the greater good of community are these All-College Honors students, who recently spent the morning at St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, prepping an estimated 2,000 lunches and dinners. Volunteers are critical partners at St. Luke’s, which ministers to the homeless and the hungry in our community.
Congratulations to Bennie Williams. The assistant dean of students and director of the Urban Leadership Learning Community received the Advisor of the Year Award from National Association for Masterminds and Co-Curricular Advancement (NAMCA). Williams was recognized for his leadership in helping up-and-coming motivational speakers and educational trainers engage, entertain and educate audiences so they may find employment by high schools, colleges, universities and companies.
NAMCA’s mission is to get more women and BIPOC paid speaking opportunities at colleges, universities and beyond. It is the only such Black-owned organization in the college space.
