Dr. AnneMarie Haumesser will be joining the Canisius community today, October 16, as the new Assistant Vice President for Advancement.
She will be responsible for directing all aspects of Canisius University’s integrated alumni engagement and constituent relations, annual giving programs, and advancement services. Dr. Haumesser will also work closely with Dianna Civello, Interim Vice President for Advancement, to build relationships with prospective donors.
Holding an EdD in Higher Education Administration, Dr. Haumesser is excited to return to a university setting where she can implement her passion for donor-centric philanthropy and constituent engagement. With new talent and skills rounding out the team, Sandy Miller, now Assistant Vice President for External Relations, will be able to focus her efforts on seeking grant funding, and Mary Ellen Bakowski’s new role as Director of Legacy Giving and Stewardship will better position the team for the ambitious fundraising goals set forth in the strategic plan.
