Sign-In Updates to D2L and Zoom

For security purposes, changes are occurring to how we log into D2L and Zoom.

D2L

Starting at the end of the Spring 2022 semester (Thursday, May 19th), instead of seeing the D2L login page, you will see the familiar Canisius College login page. This is a minor change and should have little to no impact on how you access D2L.

Zoom

Sometime during the Summer months (between June and August), you will only be able to log into Zoom using your Canisius College Password. This means that, if you logged into Zoom using your Canisius Email address but used a password that was different from your Canisius Password, you will now be required to log into Zoom using your Canisius Email and Password via Single-Sign-On (SSO). This also means that you will have to go to canisius.zoom.us to access your online Zoom account instead of going to zoom.us. Additionally, for the desktop and mobile app, please view the instructions for logging in using SSO by clicking this link here. This change should have little to no impact on scheduled meetings, saved recordings, or Zoom settings.

Charitable Gifts to Canisius

We have always been aware of how fortunate Canisius is to have loyal donors.  In order to ensure continued support, please forward any donations that have been received by your department to Advancement Services GM203 attention: Katie Huck.  This is an ongoing policy that helps the college to ensure the gift is recorded and the donor is provided with a charitable gift receipt. Please note that gifts may need to be entered prior to May 29, 2022 to be recorded in this year’s annual fund.

Help Desk Starts Summer Hours

The ITS Help Desk starts its summer hours schedule today, Monday, May 16.  The Help Desk will be open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

These hours will be in effect until Friday, August 26.  On Fridays from June 3 until August 12 the Help Desk will close at 1:00 p.m.

Canisius Names New Director of Graduate Admissions

Please join me in welcoming Amo-Augustus Kubeyinje to Canisius as the new director of graduate admissions.  Amo has extensive experience in graduate and international admissions, having previously served as an enrollment consultant at Vanguard Global Study Network, associate vice president for graduate admissions at Drew University, director of graduate admissions and enrollment services at William Paterson University, and associate director of graduate admissions at New Jersey Institute of Technology.  In addition to his role with graduate admissions, he will be working closely with undergraduate admissions to help with international recruitment.
