PA Studies Grant

The Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program is a recipient of a $4,000 health equity grant from Interfaith America (IA).  The college will use the grant for curriculum development in the PA Studies program.

The Spark Bird Project

In collaboration with several bird conservation organizations, Canisius announced today the launch of The Spark Bird Project. Jenn Lodi-Smith, PhD, professor of psychology and assistant vice president for academic affairs is leading The Spark Bird Project with ornithological consultation from Sara R. Morris, PhD, professor of biology and vice president for academic affairs.

To participate in The Spark Bird Project or read the spark bird stories of others, visit www.spark-bird.orgStories and findings from the study will be shared with the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, Hog Island Audubon Camp and the WNY Young Birder Club, which are partnering with Canisius on The Bird Spark Project.

Buffalo Niagara Partnership Diversity & Inclusion Symposium

As part of our professional development opportunities scheduled during the college’s Juneteenth celebration and events, we have purchased a corporate pass for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership Diversity and Inclusion Symposium on Thursday, June 16 from 10:15 a.m.  – 4:00 p.m.

This unique event delivers the ongoing learning necessary in the D&I realm in a one-day virtual format that is filled with inspirational discussions and non-stop knowledge. The event is open to all faculty and staff.
