The Ramadan holiday will be observed from Friday, April 1 through Sunday, May 1. Ramadan is celebrated as the month during which Muhammad received the initial revelations of the Quran, the holy book for Muslims. During Ramadan, Muslims will be fasting among other things. Fasting is one of the five fundamental principles of Islam.

In the spirit of being people for and with others, the ALANA Student Center wanted to bring information about the holiday to the attention of our community.

Please see the attached letter with more information regarding the Ramadan holiday. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the ALANA Student Center at asc@canisius.edu or Bennie Williams directly at willi100@canisius.edu.
