On Wednesday, the campus community welcomed the Canisius College Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2023. The inaugural cohort of students spent the first day getting familiar with the campus and the state-of-the-art simulation labs and examination rooms.
The ALANA Student Center invites the campus community to register for the annual MLK celebration on Wednesday, February 10 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. This event will be virtual and feature Dr. Catherine Collins, member of the NYS Board of Regents.
Canisius College would like to acknowledge the accomplishments of an African American, Latinx American, Asian American or Native American (ALANA) graduating senior who exemplifies the Jesuit value of Magis through academic excellence, exceptional leadership, character, dedication and service to Canisius and the community-at-large. We are seeking nominations for the Canisius ALANA Achievement Award, which is presented annually at the Spring Honors Convocation.
Please take a moment to nominate a deserving graduating senior for this award. Identify and explain the reasons that make this student deserving of the award, including specific examples. Students are permitted to nominate themselves. The 2021 Go Move Challenge starts next week!Click here to register today.
Faculty and staff are invited to join the 2021 Go Move Challenge. Participants have a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Canisius College Bookstore. All participants will receive FREE access to an online fitness channel during the challenge.
Fitness is SNOW joke and can be especially tough in the colder months of the year. Join your colleagues at Canisius College to compete against sister schools in the 2021 challenge. The objective is to see which Jesuit school is the most active during the month of February. Awards go to the university that tracks the most minutes, the university that averages the highest number of minutes per participant and the region with the most minutes.For faculty and staff at Canisius, the individual who achieves the highest number of minutes by the end of the challenge will receive a $50 gift card to the college bookstore.
Creighton’s wellness administrator, Healthbreak, is generously offering their hbFIT fitness channel free of charge to all Go Move Challenge participants from January 25 – March 5.
Click the “LOG IN / REGISTER” button on the top menu bar.
In the “LOG IN” box, enter your Email address and password.
In the “LOG MY WORKOUT” box, select the type of activity, add an activity description, enter the number of minutes, and select a single date or date range for logging multiple days.
Click the “LOG IT” button when finished.
Users can delete minutes that were entered in error.
CHALLENGE RULES AND TIPS:
Challenge runs from February 1 – 28. Minutes will not be accepted after challenge ends.
Create a team of 4 to compete against other teams at your university to see which one averages the most number of minutes.
Use the Go Move Challenge social media sites to share photos, tag photos #GoMoveChallenge.
Open the mobile-friendly challenge website from your phone’s browser to enter minutes on the go.
