The Western New York Teacher Residency Program at Canisius welcomed it’s second cohort of graduate resident teacher candidates.
The residents began their Foundations of Education course last week, taught by Adjunct Professor Geoff Schutte, a teacher leader at Tapestry High School who is an active education leader in the Buffalo community. Through intensive coursework, cohort building and field experiences in the Buffalo community, residents will be better prepared to address systemic barriers that impact Buffalo children.
