On Monday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 2, representatives from Independent Health and Lawley Insurance will be on campus to help you sign up for the Telemedicine benefit. Anyone who signs up for the benefit that day will also be entered into a drawing to win a free Alexa! If you are already enrolled, stop by the table and show proof of your enrollment and you too will be entered into the drawing. The schedule is as follows:
Monday, April 1: 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Science Hall Atrium

Did you know that if you’re enrolled in medical insurance through Independent Health, you’re automatically eligible for the ultra-convenient Telemedicine benefit? The Telemedicine benefit allows you to talk with a doctor anytime by phone, mobile app or online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a $0 copay or low copay depending on your plan. The Telemedicine benefit is a great option for when you may be experiencing minor health issues, but are unable to immediately see a doctor. Some of the issues Independent Health members use the Telemedicine benefit for include:
- Cold and flu symptoms
- Allergies
- Poison ivy
- Pink eye
- Respiratory infection
- Mental health concerns
- Dermatology
