Timekeepers Needed for Ignatian Scholarship Day

The Office of Event Services is in need of faculty, staff and administrator volunteers to serve as timekeepers for this year’s Ignatian Scholarship Day on Wednesday, April 10 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Timekeepers introduce the session and the student scholars, and keep time during the presentation.  Students have 10 – 15 minutes to present with approximately three minutes allotted for fielding questions before audience and presenters rotate out of the classroom.

Concurrent sessions run from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (10:00 – 10:50 a.m., 12:00 – 12:50 p.m., 2:00 – 2:50 p.m. and 4:00 – 4:50 p.m.), and each session is 20 minutes in length.  Volunteers have successfully made this happen like clockwork at past events.

It is customary that faculty/staff mentors serve as the timekeeper for their students’ papers or presentations.

If you are interested and available to assist, please send your availability, to eventmgt@canisius.edu or call the Office of Event Services at Ext. 2180.
