Chartwells is proud to announce that on Tuesday, March 5, local favorite lloyd Taco Truck will be taking over Menuworx for lunch.

Lloyd is best known for being Buffalo’s first food truck that spawned a whole new way of dining in Western New York, paving the way for countless food trucks to serve delicious food throughout the city and outlying areas.

Pete Cimino ’03, founder and co-owner of Lloyd Taco Truck and Catering, and Chris Doraneo, have grown the business from a one-truck operation beginning in July 2010, to a four-truck family with taco factories on Hertel Avenue in North Buffalo and Main Street in Williamsville, a thriving catering business and a soft serve ice cream shop, “Churn Soft Serve & Coffee,” on Hertel.

Partnering with local farms whenever possible, sourcing hormone and antibiotic-free meats, and employing the age-old process of nixtamalization to make corn tortillas, Cimino and Doraneo have proven that great food can be made anywhere as long as you’re willing to put in the time and effort.

They are bringing that effort to Canisius to serve students, faculty and staff. This event will preempt Quesadilla Tuesday. Griff Bucks, cash, credit and meal swipes will be accepted.
