Following a search process, I am pleased to announce that Summer Handzlik has been appointed Director of the Canisius Fund effective August 21, 2017. Summer will be responsible for the overall strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of annual fundraising initiatives at the college.
Summer graduated from Medaille College with a bachelor’s degree in communication, and later with a master’s degree in business administration. Prior to accepting the director’s position, she served as the assistant director of the Canisius Fund for nearly three years. Additionally, Summer served as the director of alumni relations and the director of the Medaille Annual Fund. Summer brings experience and a proven track record of success in her field, which will be invaluable in meeting the departmental goals and objectives.
