Canisius in the News

More than 500 high school students from throughout Western New York participated in the Lake Erie/Niagara Regional NYS Science Olympiad hosted by Canisius College on Saturday, February 5 in Science Hall. Students competed in exciting hands-on activities that included everything from hovercrafts, during which they built self-propelled air-levitated vehicles, to robot arms, during which they designed, built, and tested a robotic art.

Pray with the President Today

Come to Christ the King Chapel at 12:05 p.m. today, February 6 to hear President John J. Hurley offer a reflection on scripture and preside over a daily Communion Service. Attendees will hear a full Liturgy of the Word and have the opportunity to receive Communion.

Scinta Showcases Piano Talents in Recital Today

The ArtsCanisius Meet-the-Faculty series continues today, February 6, with a piano recital given by Frank Scinta, director of the Canisius College Chorale at noon in the Montante Cultural Center.

Scinta has programed a recital of works entitled “Masters in Miniature” featuring the music of Beethoven, Buxtehude, Clementi and Charles Callahan.

This recital is free and open to the public.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Calling All Vocalists

Cantio Sacra is seeking new members to join its choral ensemble. The group is beginning to rehearse new repertoire this semester and would love to add more voices. Join us on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel.
