Wellness Initiative 2017

As part of our ongoing wellness initiative for 2017, Canisius College has partnered with Independent Health to offer an innovative online wellness tool – FitWorks.  This tool is designed to help employees engage in meaningful activities to achieve your personal health and wellness goals in 2017 and beyond!

The FitWorks program is designed for employees to complete different FitWorks challenges.  Completing the challenges earns participating employees points that will qualify them for chances to win quarterly prizes.  The more points earned – the greater the chance to win!

Participating in the FitWorks plan is completely voluntary and no information is shared with the college.

To learn more about the program, Dawn Kordylewski, corporate wellness specialist for Independent Health, will be on campus to provide a demonstration of the FitWorks program on January 25 from 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. in the Regis Room, located on the second floor of the Student Center.

If you are unable to attend the session, additional e-mail instructions will be sent out regarding how to participate in the program. If you have any questions, contact Brianna Fasanello in the Human Resources Department at Ext. 2246.

The inaugural Canisius Conversations with President John J. Hurley was held on January 20 at Citi.  Nearly 100 alumni enjoyed an intimate discussion with President Hurley about the past, present and future of the college.  Our academic deans were also in attendance and participated in a tour of Citi and its facilities, hearing first-hand the importance of a diverse work force and the benefits of a strong relationship with the college.

The series was created in an effort to engage with our fellow Griffs at companies throughout WNY where we have large portions of alumni employed.
