Canisius College faculty and staff have several options for collecting data via internet surveys and forms.
Google Forms provides a quick, easy way to conduct simple surveys or gather data (like a signup sheet or application) from individual users.
Qualtrics and REDCap provide more advanced features, such as the ability to track survey participation, or collect files from respondents. Qualtrics and REDCap forms can adapt as the respondent answers questions, asking more relevant questions and leaving out irrelevant questions, based on earlier input.
Qualtrics is best for a wide variety of tasks, including administration and scholarly research, while REDCap is specifically for complex social science research projects.
To use Google Forms, you must have a Google Account. Faculty and staff can get a Canisius-branded Google account with unlimited space and special features. Contact Mark Gallimore at gallimom@canisius.edu to have this set up for you.
