Celebrate Frühlingsfest!

2016-KopieOn Friday, April 8, 2016, the National German Honor Society at Canisius College will celebrate its fifth annual “Frühlingsfest” (German Culture Fest), a celebration of spring and the college’s German heritage, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge.

The event will highlight the life and the culture of contemporary Germany, and will feature classic and modern German music and film. Traditional German dishes, such as homemade schnitzel fingers, knackwurst and sauerkraut, baked bretzeln and potato pancakes will be served.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and a grand prize in the amount of 75 Euros. The evening will also include two short but engaging programs meant to inform our guests about all aspects of the German major at Canisius College. The German Culture Fest is geared towards a younger audience between the ages of 20 and 30 years. Admission is set at $5.00 (for Canisius students) and $8.00 for all others. Because alcohol will be served, a valid ID is required from all attending the evening. Questions can be directed to Dr. Peter Böhm, PhD, professor of German and advisor to the Canisius chapter of National German Honor Society, at Ext. 2327.
