Students in the advanced online physical education master’s program complete a physical education electronic portfolio as the culminating activity to their degrees. The portfolio includes a mission/philosophy statement, resume, sample lesson plans, classroom assessments and assignments associated with the online advanced program. The reflection includes professional development activities. The portfolio, completed in the PEG 684 class, is used to assess candidate mastery and understanding of the subject matter, its applications and the ability to utilize reflection in professional development. The assignment and grading rubric is aligned to National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and National Board Professional Teaching Standards (NBTPS).
