Canisius College is excited to bring singer-songwriter Caroline Jones to campus Friday, October 18 as an Artist in Residence. Caroline, who was trained by Singer’s Forum founder Andy Anselmo ‘45, will be teaching two master classes and performing in concert. Master classes and concert will be held in the Montante Cultural Center, and are free and open to all who are interested in learning about careers in music or who just love music!
- The first master class, “Song Writing Workshop” will be held from1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in MCC. Students who play are encouraged to bring their instruments as they may be invited on stage to play along with Caroline.
- The second master class, “Working in the music business” will take place from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in MCC.
- The concert featuring Jones will begin at 7 p.m. in the MCC
The event will be co-sponsored by Institutional Advancement, Student Affairs, ArtsCanisius, Career Center and the Canisius College Music Program.

Singer’s Forum founder Andy Anselmo ’45, trained Caroline classically in the Bel Canto operatic technique as well as in the American Songbook style.
Caroline’s performance resume includes Julliard, Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Café Carlyle, Webster Hall, Highline Ballroom, Metropolitan Room, Bitter End, Russian Tea Room & Feinstein’s at the Loews Regency. She has shared bills with James Taylor, the Beach Boys, Dave Matthews, Blues Traveler, Paul Simon, Ani DiFranco, and many others.
