Thriller “Frozen” Returns to the Stage at College’s Marie Maday Theatre

Red Thread Theatre, the production company of Canisius College Theatre Artist-in-Residence Eileen Dugan, will present the return of the  award-winning play “Frozen” in the Marie Maday Theatre starting tonight, January 3. The play runs until Sunday, January 27. Performances will be held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. with matinees on Saturday at 4 p.m. There will be no performances held on January 18, 19 and 20.

Written by Bryony Lavery, “Frozen” tells the story of the disappearance of a 10-year-old girl (Rhona). The play follows Rhona’s mother (played by Dugan), the murderer who took Rhona and the psychiatrist who studies whether serial killers can help themselves. Over the course of years, the audience learns what happened to young Rhona, what happens to the man who took her, and the path to forgiveness and life taken by the mother.

Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors, $10 for students and free for Canisius students with ID. Group rates are available. Thursday performances are pay-what -you-can. For reservations or more information call (716) 867-3102 or visit redthreadtheatre.info.
