The students may be on break, however the Golden Griffin winter athletic teams are into the heart of their schedules. In what amounts to one of the busiest weekends of the year, three teams will play six home games in less than 72 hours beginning January 3.
Pick your sport:
If you like men’s basketball, then Jim Baron’s quintet will host Fairfield Thursday evening at 7 pm and Marist Saturday night, also at 7 pm.
If you prefer to watch the women’s team play then take a lunch break on Friday, bring your earplugs, and enjoy the award winning Kid’s Day at the Koessler. Game time versus Siena is 11 am and 12 local elementary schools are expected to attend. Coach Terry Zeh’s club is also home on Sunday afternoon at 3 pm versus Iona.
And, if you need a hockey fix, then your Griffs step out of league play and battle Bowling Green on Saturday and Sunday (1/5&6) at Noon at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.
Tickets are available for all games by calling 716-888-2885. Or, visit gogriffs.com for more information.
