Distinguished Faculty and Distinguished Senior

The Office of Alumni Engagement is now taking nominations for the Kenneth L. Koessler Distinguished Faculty Award and Distinguished Senior Awards.

The Distinguished Faculty Award recognizes outstanding faculty members of Canisius College who have served as a full-time faculty member for at least three years and are distinguished for contributions to the academic world and teaching excellence.

The Distinguished Senior award recognizes seniors who have distinguished themselves through leadership roles and involvement with the college.

Canisius Chorale Launches Spring Season, Invites New Members

The Canisius College Chorale invites students, faculty and staff to join its ranks for the upcoming season of concerts. The Chorale’s first rehearsal will take place on Monday, January 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. Rehearsals will continue each Monday evening at the same time. Auditions are NOT necessary for membership and everyone is welcome.
For those wishing to join as a registered member, the course numbers for Chorale are FAM 181 (CRN: 40136) for 1 credit and FAM 171 (CRN: 40133) for 0 credit.

The Chorale just ended a very successful Fall season that included performances throughout Western New York, including a November 7 performance with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Its acclaimed Sacred Spaces series attracted hosts of listeners to a number of the region’s most beautiful and historic churches. The coming season’s activities include performances in some of the region’s finest concert venues.

TIAA CREF Representative to be on Campus

Richard Brewer, individual consultant for TIAA CREF, will be on campus in the Student Center Executive Conference Room for individual counseling sessions Thursday, January 24, 2013. He will meet with individuals to review and discuss current investments, answer questions, and review their options to help meet retirement goals.
