Join Michael Noonan, PhD and the ABEC Program for a special 3-day event open to all members of the Canisius community (faculty, staff, students, and friends).  Noonan will observe humpback whales on a half-day offshore excursion. He will also explore New England wetlands ecology and seashore estuaries by canoe and kayak.  Itinerary as follows: Friday, September 2, 2011 12 p.m  Depart Canisius by motor coach to Rockport, Massachusetts (arrive approximately 9 p.m.) Saturday, September 3, 2011 9 a.m -12 p.m. Seaside kayaking (Rockport, MA) 2 – 5 p.m. Wetlands canoeing (Ipswitch Wildlife Sanctuary) 7 – 8 p.m. Seaside sunset hike (Halibut Point) Sunday, September 4, 2011 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Whale watch (Stellwagen Bank) 2 – 6 p.m.  Parker River National Wildlife Refuge bird watching (Plum Island, MA) Monday, September 5, 2011 9 a.m. -12 p.m. New England Aquarium (Boston, MA) 12 – 9 p.m. Return drive by motor coach to Canisius Cost per person is $475 (based on double occupancy) and is all inclusive except food.  Space is limited.  For more information or to sign up, email Tiffany Fuzak at fuzakt@canisius.edu.  Deadline to sign up is July 15, 2011.
