Back by popular demand, a new season of the free Tune-in Series of Apple Education webinars has been designed to introduce educators and IT leaders to different aspects of Apple technology. The series is designed to acquaint participants with the benefits of Apple iOS devices and the content that can be created and used on them in education.

Monday: Introduction to iOS Products
Learn the basics of iOS devices, including examples of how they are being used in classrooms around the country. We’ll provide a basic overview of the role iTunes plays in app management and showcase a few accessories that can be helpful with these products in the classroom.

Tuesday: Education Content for iOS Devices
Learn about the four ways content providers are thinking about bringing content to the platform — the Web, iTunesU, the iBookstore, and the App Store. We’ll also demonstrate some popular third-party iOS applications, and explore some forward-looking textbook apps.

Wednesday: Creating Your Own Content
Creation of content can be a valuable education tool for both educators and students. This session explores elements of the iWork and iLife suites to demonstrate the ease of creating content and distributing it on mobile devices.

Thursday: iOS Content and Device Management
This session discusses how iOS devices work with iTunes, illustrates how the iPhone Configuration Utility can help restrict some functionality, and also demonstrates some common syncing configurations.

Friday: Planning iOS Device Deployments
The week ends with a session discussing iOS device deployment. Concepts from the week will be used to outline how an example deployment can be planned, typical types of decisions that need to be made at various stages, and provide some insight on how deployment can be worry free.
