Changes To Under the Dome Coming Monday, February 1

Under the Dome will undergo some modifications and enhancements beginning Monday, February 1. As of that date, readers will have the ability to filter articles based on six categories – Alumni, Athletics, Faculty, Parents, Staff, and Students – to see only articles that pertain to those groups. Articles will also be automatically archived by month and will be accessible through a built-in keyword-based search function. Currently, articles published since August 24, 2009 will be in the new version of Under the Dome; however, articles prior to that date will only be accessible in the existing PDF archives.

Also, the updated submission form for articles will allow users to submit one image or document under 1 Mb through the on-line form instead of Emailing these files separately to the Office of Web Services.

If you have any questions about this, please contact Chuck Pustelnik, director of Web services, at Ext. 2636 or pustelnc@canisius.edu.

Blood Drive Today, Help Canisius Beat Niagara

Today’s (Tuesday, January 26) UNYTS Blood Drive at the Penfold Commons takes on an extra dimension as Canisius battles Niagara for blood donations and donors registered. Please stop by the Penfold Commons between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to donate blood. Each donation is worth one point as the two campuses clash for the highest number of points. Canisius also picks up two points for each donor registry card completed, which takes about 30 seconds to fill out. The cards can be picked up and completed at the blood drive (no blood donation required) or outside the cafeteria between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

It’s all part of Griffin Week – Keep the Cup activities heading into Friday night’s nationally televised doubleheader from the Koessler Athletic Center.
