There are three more exciting ArtCanisius events over the next few days in the Montante Cultural Center.

Canisius College Composer-in-Residence Persis Parshall Vehar will present a lecture today (November 5) at 2:30 p.m. entitled “The Making of an Opera, Part I.” All are welcome to attend and no admission will be charged.

On Monday, November 9, trombonist Lon Gormley will perform a Meet-the-Faculty recital at 12 p.m. with pianist Krista Seddon and tubist Don Harry. This event is also free.

An Informally-Formal concert on Tuesday, November 10 features the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra’s Associate Concertmaster Amy Glidden assisted by pianist Alison d’Amato and cellist Amelie Fradette. Works by Biber, Prokofiev, Kodaly and Ravel will be performed. Tickets for this event are $15 general admission and $7 students.
