Black History Month Lecture Series

Celebrate Black History Month with the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor.  The organization is hosting a series of (virtual) lectures throughout the month of February.  All are free and open to the public, and begin at 6:00 p.m.

The first lecture in the series is scheduled for February 2 and is titled “James Clipper: The REAL Story.”  Jesse Clipper was the first African American soldier from Buffalo to die in World War I. This lecture takes a deep dive into his life story and will reveal that there is far more to this Buffalo hero than commonly known.
