Robert Davis, PhD, professor emeritus of accounting, commented on the state of the investigations into the finances of the Community Action Organization of Western New York. Both the FBI and New York State Attorney General’s office are searching for evidence of improprieties.

Assumption Thursday

Assumption Thursday, a Holy Day of Obligation in the Diocese of Buffalo, is today, Thursday, August 15.   Mass will be offered at 12:05 p.m. in the Loyola Hall Chapel with Rev. Thomas Slon, S.J., rector, Canisius Jesuit community, presiding.

Employee Appreciation Lunch

The Economou Dining Hall was packed with college employees who gathered for the 3rd annual Employee Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday, August 14. Guests enjoyed a picnic lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, potato salad and ice cream for dessert. The event was hosted by President John Hurley.

Campus Beautification Project

Members of the Canisius community gathered on Tuesday, August 13 to help beautify the campus in preparation for the arrival of the students for the fall semester. The project involved weeding various flowerbeds. Unfortunately, the group’s efforts were interrupted by a brief rain shower!
