National Girls & Women in Sports Day

Canisius College Athletics is set to host its National Girls & Women in Sports Day celebration on Saturday, February 4, as the women’s basketball team hosts Iona at 1:00 p.m. At the conclusion of the game, Canisius Athletics is hosting a clinic in the Patrick Lee gymnasium for all youth girls in attendance to participate.

Student-athletes from each of Canisius’ female sports teams will be present at the clinic teaching some of the basics of their sport. Every girl will have the opportunity to participate in each sport Canisius has to offer.

The clinic will feature sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, rowing, running, and more!

This is a great opportunity for girls to learn about new sports!

Participants will be given a Canisius Athletics poster after the clinic and have the opportunity to get it signed by the student-athletes present at the clinic. The clinic is FREE with a valid ticket to the game.
