Canisius College will present “Environmental Solidarity: Injustices and transnational mining operations in Latin America,” from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Monday, October 26 in the Science Hall Commons. A presentation will be given by members of the Mining Injustice Solidarity Network, a Toronto-based activist group that educates about unfair practices of Canadian mining companies. The group will discuss their work to resist exploitation and build environmental justice.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Canisius College Department of Campus Ministry, the Department of Latin American Studies, the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, and the WNY Peace Center.
