If you are teaching a summer course this year, hear are a few things to check.

  1. Check that the Start Date Starts at the appropriate time
    • All summer courses, regardless if they start in session one or session two, open up at the end of May
    • First 6-week, 10-week, and 12-week sessions begin on May 20th
    • First 5-week session begins on May 28th
    • Summer session two (second 5-week and 6-week courses) starts on July 1st
  2. Check that the End Date does not end before your course is supposed to end.
    • June 29th is when the first 5-Week and 6-Week courses end
    • July 29th is when the 10-Week session ends
    • August 3rd is when the second 5-week session ends
    • August 9th is when the second 6-week and 12-week sessions end
  3. Keep in mind important holidays over the summer
    • May 27th, Memorial Day, No Classes
    • June 19th, Juneteenth, No In-Person or Synchronous Online Classes
    • July 4th, Independence Day, No In-Person or Synchronous Online Classes
    • July 5th, President’s Holiday, No In-Person Classes
