Canisius will be one of 27 sites for a Say Yes Summer Camp from July 10 – August 18.  Students from Buffalo public and charter schools, grades PK-6, will be on site from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. during the six-week summer program.  Many students are coming from neighborhood schools or live in the neighborhood!  Certified teachers, along with AmeriCorps Summer ABLE members will be supervising this multi-age camp focused on social-emotional development and preventing academic learning loss.  Students in need of reading support will have access to daily one-on-one tutoring through a Reading Ready grant from the Benedict Silverman Foundation.  Students will also participate in cooking classes, Girl Scouts, Tinkergarten, STEM activities, field trips and more!

You can find students on the third floor of Old Main, in the Library and out in the Quad!  Can we come visit or learn something from you on campus?  Do you have anything interesting to share with the campers? We’d love to bring the students to all different part of campus.  If so, please connect with Elizabeth Turner, summer camp director, at turner6@canisius.edu or 888-2768.
