October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Counseling Center and Step Up Griffs Peer Educators are bringing the Clothesline Project to campus. The Clothesline Project is a powerful visual display of t-shirts decorated by survivors and loved ones of sexual and domestic violence.

Inspired by the AIDS quilt, visual artist Rachel Carey-Harper launched the Clothesline Project in 1990, using the concept of t-shirts hanging on a clothesline as a way to raise awareness and to provide support to those affected by violence.  For more information on the Clothesline Project, click here.

T-shirts will be on display throughout our main campus and on the first floor of the library, October 21-25.
