It’s Trivia Wednesday!

The campus community is invited to watch The Dome for special “Trivia Wednesdays” which will be published throughout the school year in every Wednesday edition. The first person to respond to pubrel@canisius.edu with the correct answer will win Canisius “swag.” Additionally, once a month on Wednesdays, there will be a special giveaway in which the winner will receive some of the newly-designed Canisius Sesquicentennial gear.

Winners will be announced the following Wednesday each week along with the correct trivia answer.

Women’s Soccer Hosts Rider

The Canisius women’s soccer team looks to extend its unbeaten streak to three games as they host Rider University today, Wednesday, October 23 at 4:00 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex. A Griffs win could potentially move the team into the final MAAC playoff position with two games remaining.

Supporting Conservation Efforts in Africa

Stop by the library today, Wednesday, October 23 between 9:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., to purchase baked goods from students in ABEC 404: Wildlife Ecology and Conservation in Africa.

They will be selling baked goods to support the African Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW). ANAW’s programs include education and outreach in local communities, vaccination clinics for domestic animals and anti-poaching campaigns in which former poachers are trained to make beautiful animal-inspired art from snare wire. Halloween-themed baked goods (including vegan and gluten-free options) will be available.

Flu Shots on Campus

The Student Health Center is teaming up with Wegmans Pharmacy to provide a flu shot clinic tomorrow, Thursday, October 24 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Student Center Lobby
