The Canisius Ambassadors for Conservation present the premier of “Project Wolf” on Monday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Regis Room, located in the Student Center.
Follow eight college students as they take on the complex issue of whether wolves should be reintroduced into the state of Colorado. The students listen carefully to experts on both sides of the issue and then directly examine the Rocky Mountain ecological conditions for themselves. Finally, when they present their findings to a vote by children in the next generation of Americans, they get an overwhelmingly affirmative response: Bring wolves back!

The Golden Griffins women’s soccer team returns to the Demske Sports Complex this Saturday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. for a contest against league rival Iona. Canisius is 1-1 in conference play pending the result of a MAAC game at Marist this afternoon at 4 p.m. Iona is off to an 0-2 start.

Daniel Gerena, a data analytics consultant for Freed Maxick CPAs, will present the first data analytics seminar talk of the year on Tuesday, October 2 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in Science Hall Room 1013B. Gerena has a wide range of experience in the applications of data analytics, and works in collaboration with various businesses in the Buffalo area. This will allow him to present a range of real-world examples related to business intelligence and data analytics.

The fall 2018 semester offers a brand new musical opportunity to all Canisius College students. This will be the inaugural semester for the Canisius College Arabic Drumming Ensemble. Directed by percussion instructor, Bob Accurso, the group is open to drummers and drumming enthusiasts of all levels. The ensemble will explore and perform traditional rhythms from the Middle East and Northern Africa. Participants will learn essential rhythms and techniques on a variety of the most commonly used drums. Don’t own a drum but would like to play? There will be drums available for you to use. Never played anything like this before? Here’s your chance to learn in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. There is still time to get in on this opportunity. A mobile mammography screening hosted by New York State Senator Tim Kennedy will be held on campus Monday, October 1. The truck will be parked in the Health Science parking lot from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are over the age of 40 and have not had a mammogram within the last year, you are eligible to receive this screening.
