The Physical and Health Education Teacher Education (PHETE) program in the Department of Kinesiology hosted a local workshop for teacher candidates about how to integrate the common core standards into physical and health education curriculums and instruction. Coordinated largely by the efforts of Lauren Cavanaugh, PhD, Courtney Kelly, MS, (adjunct) and Clancy Seymour, EdD, the event proved valuable for those in attendance. The session presenters from the Kenmore School District included Heather Ratka (Hoover Elementary Physical Education Teacher) and Heather Wolf-Rochford (Kenmore Middle School Physical Education Teacher).
