The Center for Professional Development has five seats open for Canisius employees to participate in its Mini-MBA. The program starts on Monday, March 2 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the CPD.
The Mini-MBA is a comprehensive management development program that provides training in the most current and relevant areas in today’s business environment. This program cultivates a fundamental understanding of the primary functions of management and builds a foundation for participants to understand how an organization operates as a whole.
The program is designed for professionals who wish to gain a competitive edge over their business peers through the development of leadership skills and overall business acumen. Past participants make up a wide variety of industries so all are encouraged to attend.

Paul Waldau, PhD, professor of animal behavior ecology and conservation, and Rev. Tom Colgan, S.J., campus minister, will discuss Inclusive Christian Spirituality: Ecology and Animals on Wednesday, February 25 at 12:00 p.m. in the Regis Room North of the Student Center. The event will include food, some input, some discussion by those wanting to share and some fun.
Sponsored by Canisius Campus Ministry, ISHAR (Institute for Human-Animal Relations), the dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, the Office of Mission and Identity, and the Department of Religious Studies and Theology.
A free, light luncheon will be served.

Whether you are new to the library or simply looking to brush up on your skills, the library’s Academic Workshops offer something for everyone. Database searching, research assistance and citations are just a few of the workshops available to the campus community. Freshman students taking GRIFF 101 can participate and earn Academic Workshop credits!
All workshops are offered in the Library Learning Center. The following is a list of what is being offered and when:
Citation Frustration: One of the most time consuming and often confusing parts of the research process is properly citing sources. Let us help you make citation less annoying. This session will share formatting tips and tools that help to create citations, determine source type and format bibliographies. This session will save you a ton of time!

Ever wonder how you can play a part in the annual Battle of the Bridge competition that takes place between Canisius and Niagara? Well, your chance begins today (Monday, February 23) and runs through tomorrow (Tuesday, February 24) with the annual blood drive, presented by Unyts.
Students on both campuses will be donating blood that goes to save lives in Western New York. Faculty and staff at Canisius and Niagara are also encouraged to join in the effort. The winning school will be recognized at the nationally-televised basketball doubleheader scheduled for the KAC on Tuesday night.
Remember it only takes 30 minutes of your time to save someone’s life.
