An information and discussion session on the Spiritual Exercises will be held Wednesday, April 16 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Old Main room 219 (Campus Ministry Conference Room).

We will explain the types of retreats/ongoing prayer/reflection experiences including:

Prayer Experience One: A Group Experience with Jan Sheridan and Fr. Tom Colgan, S.J. This will involve doing the Spiritual Exercises adapted for a small group. This involves daily prayer using selected scripture passages and small group meetings, weekly for the first month, then twice a month for seven months.

Prayer Experience Two: Doing the Spiritual Exercises, and meet privately with a spiritual companion, adapted to your time and energy. We discern together with you what you are seeking, and design prayer experiences and meetings designed to fit your situation, time and energy.

Prayer Experience Three: Doing the full Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, (SEEL) over an eight-month period. This involves finding one’s rhythm of daily prayer over a month, then regular prayer on a daily basis using selected Scriptures or other resources, and meeting individually with a spiritual companion, usually on a weekly basis.
