The fourth annual Health and Wellness Fair, hosted by the Counseling Center in collaboration with CPLD, Human Resources and the Department of Kinesiology, was held on campus in Science Hall Wednesday, April 9. There were more than more than 20 vendors from the campus community and outside service providers on campus.

Join Us for the 48th Annual Board of Regents Scholarship Ball

The 48th Annual Canisius College Regents Scholarship Ball will be held Saturday, May 3 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo. Cocktails begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. The evening’s activities feature an open bar, a raffle for a variety of valuable prizes and dancing to Party of Nine, Western New York’s premier live-music group. This year’s event will also feature a live auction of three exciting prize packages courtesy of the Buffalo Bills and New Era Cap Co.

This event is the primary fundraiser for the Board of Regents Scholarship Fund, which distributes more than $70,000 annually in scholarships to deserving students.

The Regents Ball also provides an opportunity to pay tribute to individuals who have been outstanding contributors to the community. The Board of Regents is pleased to announce that Russ Brandon, president and CEO of the Buffalo Bills, will be honored with the 2014 Distinguished Citizen Achievement Award.

Faculty and staff tickets are currently on sale for $80. Your reservation may be completed by registering online here by Friday, April 18.

Ignatian Scholarship Day – Today, April 11

Canisius College will hold its seventh annual Ignatian Scholarship Day today, April 11 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Science Hall and Christ the King Chapel. This event is a celebration that showcases the research, scholarship and performances of our undergraduate and graduate students through poster displays, paper and multimedia presentations, two- or three-dimensional artwork or artistic performances throughout the day. The day concludes with a concert by the Canisius College Concert Band and the Canisius College Jazz Ensemble in Montante Cultural Center starting at 7:30 p.m.

ArtsCanisius presents “Thomas Cole and the Course of the Empire State,” a lecture by Joshua Fisher, PhD, on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at The Buffalo History Museum, One Museum Court, Buffalo. The event is free and open to the public.
