Buffalo born Frederick King Keller, whose Hollywood credits include directing 24, House, CSI: Miami and Blue Bloods, will be on campus Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13.

Frederick’s father, the late Frederick A. Keller, will be honored at a memorial service open to the Canisius community and Buffalo area friends on Saturday, April 13th from 4pm – 6pm in the Regis Rooms in the Winter Student Center. Frederick A. Keller taught acting, film and theatre courses at Canisius College, and was a major creative force in WNY theatre, education and film. He helped bring a number of important foreign and domestic art films to Buffalo through the Circle Art and Glen Art theatres. He portrayed the title character in a 1981 adaptation of the award winning novel, “Tuck Everlasting,” which was directed by his son.

On Friday, April 12, at 1 pm in the Grupp Fireside Lounge, Frederick King Keller will present a talk and show clips from his work as a director, producer and screenwriter. He will also talk about careers in the entertainment industry and making it in Hollywood.

All members of the campus community are invited to attend both the memorial service and lecture.
