Spring Fest Friday (May 4)

The annual Spring Fest celebration is Friday (May 4) from 1 – 9 p.m. on the Lyons Hall lawn.  All are welcome to attend and students are asked to show their Canisius student ID for entry into Spring Fest.

This celebration held on the last day of classes provides students the opportunity to celebrate the end of the academic year in style.  This free event features inflatable rides, carnival games, tons of food, and live entertainment.

Faculty and staff should note that the faculty/staff parking lot on the Forest Lawn side and the roadway behind Lyons Hall will be closed from 6 p.m. today (May 3) and all day Friday (May 4).

Baseball Griffs Host Final Homestand

The Canisius College baseball team (24-23; 9-6) hosts its final homestand this weekend as the Griffs meet Iona (16-28; 6-9) in a crucial three-game series.  Friday’s (May 4) single game starts at 3 p.m. and Saturday’s (May 5) twin bill begins at Noon.  Five Griff seniors will be honored in between games on Saturday.

The Griffs currently reside in second place in the MAAC and trail first place Manhattan by one game. Fairfield, St. Peter’s and Marist all trail the Griffs by one game.  Only the top four qualify for the MAAC playoffs.
