Our research team has just begun a pilot project working with the Buffalo Zoo Education Department that is specifically focused on their new pre-school, featured here. We will be engaging in some observational ethnography to see how children are spending their time throughout the day, record interactions with each other and with animals both in and out of the classroom, and listen to how they learn about animals in this unique educational environment. Stay tuned for more updates on this research in 2016-2017!
