Academic Talent Search Students Volunteer at Jim Horne Golf Tournament
Each year, students in Canisius’ Academic Talent Search (ATS) program volunteer at the Jim Horne Golf Tournament during the Earn While You Learn summer program. The students take golf lessons (sponsored by Horne’s foundation), two times each week, during the six-week summer program, during which time they learn the fundamentals of golf and the life lessons it teaches. One ATS student, Leandria Lias (a junior at BAVPA), started with us last year. She continued to receive lessons from Horne and was able to participate in the tournament this year.
