Dan Higgins, assistant professor of journalism in the Communications Department, learned this month that his 2019 essay “Coffee with the Man Who Used to Be My Wife,” was listed as a “Notable Nonfiction Essay of 2019” in the Best American Essays 2020 anthology.
Higgins’ piece was published in The New York Times in September of 2019.
Best American Essays honors about 150 essays each year. These essays are selected from thousands published in literary journals, newspapers, magazines and websites.
