Meet the New User Services Staff Member

image002.pngYou may hear a new voice on the other end of the phone when you call the ITS Help Desk.  ITS welcomes the newest staff member, Nathan Lukenbill.  Nathan replaces Matt Gleason who left Canisius to work at an out-of-state university.

Besides assisting with general ITS support at the Help Desk, Nathan will work closely with faculty on campus computer lab facilities.  While he becomes familiar with the campus, he will learn how we implement JAMF and AppsAnywhere on campus to manage the student computers.  We welcome his skills and enthusiasm into our HD team with eagerness.  Read from Nathan below and find out a little more about him:

“I recently accepted a position at Canisius College as a Computer Support Technician in the ITS department. In the past, I’ve worked as an EMT for eight years. While working as an EMT I attended the University of Central Missouri and graduated with a degree in Crisis and Disaster Management. I then worked in security for three years, with a focus on security systems and controls. Most recently I worked at The Emily Program as a Technical Support Assistant. This role focused on general user support and maintaining computer equipment.”

“My wife, Dr. Castro, is an Assistant Professor in the Communicative Disorders and Sciences Department at the University at Buffalo. We have lived in Kansas, Georgia, and Seattle in the past four years. We recently made a big move from Seattle to Buffalo with our two cats, and look forward to making this a permanent home. We enjoy camping, hiking, trail running, and rock climbing.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at Canisius and assisting with technology related needs!”
