ArtsCanisius presents “Kensington to Oak,” an exhibit featuring the work of photographer Michael Thomas, in the college’s Peter A. and Mary Lou Vogt Gallery in the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library. An opening reception will be held on Friday, January 22 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the library.

There are many interesting vistas of the city of Buffalo, from the elevated highways that surround and bisect it. As commuters, we propel ourselves, from home to work, from school to home and back again. We may glimpse at these sights that continually change with the seasons. The shifting of light and shadows as day turns to night are soon forgotten. Over the past year, Thomas documented one such vista as he entered the city from the Kensington Expressway.

Kensington to Oak” continues through Friday, March 4 during regular library hours. For library hours, visit canisius.edu/library or call Ext. 2900.

The ArtsCanisius series at Canisius College presents concerts by professional musicians, including members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Canisius faculty, art shows and lectures by professional artists, as well as student recitals.
