Your Golden Griffin men’s basketball team returns home for the first time in 25 days when they host conference foes St. Peter’s and Siena this weekend.
Canisius meets St. Peter’s in the conference opener on Friday night at 7 p.m. in the KAC. The game is sponsored by Wendy’s with students receiving complimentary burgers and Frosty’s at halftime.
Sunday, when the Griffs meet Siena at 2 p.m., is Faculty-Staff Day with all faculty and staff receiving free tickets for themselves and family members. Faculty-Staff Day is presented by The Buffalo News and The Buffalo Brewery District with plenty of great prizes to be given away during the game.

The Canisius College Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, will present its annual Winter Concert on Friday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Montante Cultural Center. Admission is free and all are welcome.
The concert will feature works by Hogan, Vivaldi, Dawson, Ticheli and others. The Chorale’s only campus performance this semester will cap a six-concert Sacred Spaces concert tour of Western New York churches that began in mid-October.
The Chorale also will join the Camerata di San Antonio Chamber Orchestra and the Choir of St. Louis Church in a festive Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 8th at 7:00 PM in St. Anthony’s Church, 160 Court Street in downtown Buffalo.
Tickets are $17.00 and may be purchased at the door or ordered in advance by calling 854-2563 between the hours of 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Now in its sixteenth season, The Canisius College Chorale remains one of Western New York’s most active collegiate music ensembles. Composed of 100 undergraduate and graduate members, the Chorale regularly presents concert programs to school, church, and community audiences throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario. In recent years, the Chorale has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ars Nova Chamber Musicians, Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
