Physical and health education teacher education (PHETE) students assisted in the Western New York Physical Education Consortium on Tuesday, February 23 in Amherst. The local workshop featured presentations on how to implement ninja warrior obstacle courses, yoga and adventure education in K-12 physical education.
Coordinated largely by the efforts of Courtney Kelly, adjunct professor, of health education, the event proved valuable with more than 50 physical education professionals in attendance. The workshop was hosted by PHETE alumnus, Dr. Kiel Illg, director of health and physical education and athletics at Amherst Central School District.
