Employee Parking Permits Still Available Online

With the approach of the semester, there’s still time to register for your 2010-2011 employee parking tag.  All faculty and staff are eligible to register online for 2010-2011 parking permits.  Click here or go to the faculty & staff webpage and under “Resources for All” and click on “Purchase a Parking Permit.”

To purchase a permit, faculty and staff will need:

  • A Canisius username and password
  • For those not paying via payroll deduction, have credit card or checking/savings account information for payment ready
  • Vehicle description (year, make, model, color)
  • Vehicle license plate number

Payment is accepted via payroll deduction, credit, or webcheck and the tag will be sent via interoffice mail.  Those who wish to pay with cash must still register online but will need to pay at the Office of Student Accounts window on the 2nd floor of the Health Science building.

Please direct questions to Shelly Baronich in the Controller’s office at Ext. 2846 or via Email at baronicm@canisius.edu.

Faculty, Staff Invited To Serve Poor, Homeless With Campus Ministry

Faculty and staff are invited to join the Office of Campus Ministry and the Buffalo Burrito Project (Homeless Ministry) on Tuesday, August 24.

The Buffalo Burrito Project provides fresh home-made burritos to Buffalo’s poor and homeless population in downtown Buffalo.  The group walks a four-mile route and serves between 80-120 burritos (a support vehicle follows the street team as they walk).  Campus Ministry has committed to cover three Tuesday evenings with faculty/staff this summer, and needs help to prepare burritos and walk the route in downtown Buffalo.  This is the last of the three Tuesdays.  This past academic year, Canisius students engaged weekly in the Buffalo Burrito Project.

To sign up and for more information on this initiative, click here or contact Joe Van Volkenburg, assistant to the director of campus ministry, at Ext. 2875 or vanvolkj@canisius.edu.
