In my talk [given October 25], I discussed the Fibonacci number sequence and its unique connection to Pythagorean triples. A Pythagorean triple contains three positive integers (a,b,c) that satisfy the Pythagorean theorem for a right triangle. My primary focus will be to elaborate on deriving a Pythagorean triple from the Fibonacci numbers. My presentation is based on the article The Fibonacci Numbers – Exposed by Dan Kalman and Robert Mena.
