Going back home, however, won’t be entirely sweet. Two things I’m going to really miss besides all of my friends are the Canisius College Crew Team and the Ultimate Frisbee team my friends and I started. I didn’t really get involved with the crew team until this year but I’ve become fast friends with everyone on the team over these past few months…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I was lucky enough to get into all of the classes I wanted with little difficulty, something I attribute to the fact that I went home to register as opposed to staying at school where I hear the internet was pretty patchy. I am taking the next level Bio and Chem classes, as well as a lab for each, and then Western Tradition I and a class called Intro to Latinos in the US…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Easter is on Sunday and so is my birthday. So somewhere amidst all of the studying and typing this weekend I will in fact get to enjoy my birthday, even if it’s only for a few hours. Also, the weather seems to finally be turning back to at least somewhat nice conditions, with no snow forecasted for this weekend. Now anyone not from Buffalo or a city similar to it would wonder why…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The only classes I have true finals in are Chemistry, Calculus, and Biology. In Western Tradition and War and Peace After 9/11 we have final papers, as well as a final presentation in War and Peace. Chem and Bio Lab don’t have official final exams but Chem lab has a lab that is graded very…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I’ve never played on an official team before but I love throwing around a frisbee with friends and enjoy the game Kan Jam very much. I played it pretty much twice every week over the summer at my aunt’s house with my cousin and played plenty of times with friends after school senior year. Now this doesn’t make me a frisbee expert…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The only problem really is that both tests are on the same day and the first test requires a lot of writing, so hopefully I won’t be mentally bankrupt by the time I have to take the Bio test which is primarily based on simply memorizing terms and processes…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The first two or three days were pretty nice, albeit a bit colder than I thought they would be, but I had high hopes for the rest of the week. Then, on Wednesday morning, disaster struck. It snowed, officially turning this “Spring Break” into something that more resembled a Winter Break. I know we live in Buffalo where the snow is plentiful, but a full 6 inches…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I know I’m making it out to be worse than it really will be and the week home will be very enjoyable and relaxing, even if some studying will be interspersed throughout it. What I’m most looking forward too though is the home cooked meals, ability to be with my dogs whenever I want, and being graced with the presence of my perfect mother…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Despite getting back into the swing of things I still find ways to enjoy myself. For example, our floor had a community builder on Thursday wherein we went skating at Rotary Rink. I’ve only skated a few times (four counting this outing) in my life but I really enjoy it and I think I improved greatly on Thursday night, though I still can’t really stop and turning is sometimes a bit scary. Also, my girlfriend and I went to see Shrek the Musical…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The whole process started at the end of January with a kind of group interview during which we were loosely evaluated based on how we interacted with each other and how we answered questions. Based on this we were selected for a personal interview and were given a “passport” that we had to fill with pictures of things we enjoy or that have meaning in our life. To give an example of this, in mine I had the name of my favorite band, pictures from when I went to Africa, someone skiing…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…
