My last weekend home was a success. I love being able to go home and visit with old friends. During the summer in Elmira, NY it still seems that everyone continues to go home whenever they can to see one another in my home town, as we did when we were in our undergrad studies. I am very fortunate to have wonderfully close friends.

My summer break has been very enjoyable, as I have spent a lot of time with family and friends doing a wide range of activities. The most recent group activity that proved to be a lot of fun was our annual Sports Day at my house. We had over twenty people in our back yard participating in a variety of games, including volleyball, badminton, bocce, mini-putt golf, soccer, and throwing & catching various balls.

Wow. I cannot believe school starts this coming Monday! Where exactly did this summer go?? Does anyone have an answer to that one? Personally, it has been a very roller-coaster like summer for me. I’ve had some great highs and equally hard lows, but I know I’m not alone in that. I sincerely hope it’s been a good summer for you!! We’ve definitely had a lot of nice weather here in Buffalo, NY to enjoy!

My family reunion went extremely well! As odd as it may seem, because I see myself as a very personable person, my family and I aren’t the greatest at keeping in touch with one another. This was the first time in my adulthood that I have been around family other than my immediate members! I met cousins I never even met before this weekend! It was incredible! My cousins and I vowed that we would stay in touch and never let this amount of time go by again without seeing one another! I learned that I have an amazing family and can’t wait until next year’s reunion, if that is the next time I will see everyone. It was just great to see where everyone is in their lives and the goals my cousins have for their lives.

In last week’s blog I described the first part of our family vacation, which was a trip to Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. The second part of our vacation involved traveling to Montréal (Québec), which is truly one of the most beautiful cities in North America.

Well, I’m done with my summer classes, my summer job, and I’ve taken a nice week off to relax. Here I am, back again, ready to blog!

I’m thinking about taking some of my books back to Canisius to see if I can make some money!! Also, I’d better buy more books for the FINAL YEAR OF MY GRADUATE PROGRAM!

Home sweet home! I am back from my adventures to New York City, safe and sound! This weekend consisted of fantastic travels. It was the most non-touristy trip I’ve ever taken to the city. My friend that we stayed with lives in Astoria, Queens and is from Manhattan. We stayed in those two burros for the most part.

Last week I traveled to Ottawa (Ontario) and Montréal (Québec) with my family and my sister’s family for a much needed vacation. It took us approximately five hours to drive from my home in Newmarket (Ontario) to reach our first sightseeing destination, Ottawa.

This past weekend was another fun summer weekend! As I mentioned in my previous blog, I went to the King’s of Leon concert at Darien Lake. It was so much fun! I’ve never been to an event quite like this before! The beginning reminded me of a Buffalo Bills game, where everyone hangs out with one another in the parking area before the game excited for the upcoming event.
